Challenging Case Competition
The Sinus Forum cordially invites you to submit your most interesting and educational cases related to otolaryngology. It is our goal to present a variety of cases. Please use these suggested topics to guide your case submissions.
Pediatric or office cases that demonstrate a change in philosophy for intervention thresholds.
Interesting and unusual sinus pathology and anatomy.
Challenging uses of Balloon Sinuplasty™ technology.
Cases illustrating non-traditional decision making in sinus problems.
Minimally invasive management of the airway.
Challenging pathology, diagnosis, and decision-making of the paranasal sinuses.
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:

DIRECTIONS
All entries must be submitted online through www.thesinusforum.com.
Click on the 'submit challenging case now' button in the left-hand column.
Each case must have its own submission form filled out online prior to uploading the case.
A link to upload the case will display once the form is complete.
GUIDELINES
Case images can be in one of the following formats:
- Endoscopic video footage
- Endoscopic stills
- CT scans (jpg) - both pre and post are preferred
- If you wish to submit a full DICOM CT set, please mail to the Sinus Forum. See instructions below.
Follow naming convention for all files:
- doctor last name_id number for case (chosen by you)_type of file (end still/CT scan).
- For example, Smith_001_CTscan
Total amount of endoscopic video footage cannot exceed 3 minutes per file. There will not be video editing available.
If materials include the patient's face or any other identifiable information, a patient release is required. Download a release once your case submission form is submitted.
NOTIFICATION
All submitted cases will be reviewed by the Sinus Forum medical committee. Acceptance status will be sent to email address provided on the submission form. Up to 5 cases will be selected. In order to be selected, you must be registered for the meeting.
If your case is selected, you will be invited to become a member of the Sinus Forum discussant leadership and present your case during the "Case Essentials" workshop. As a discussant, your registration fee will be refunded.
